Abstract

Introduction: In Gynecology Hysterectomy is one of the foremost surgical procedures and every woman who undergoes through this procedure needs information to know exactly what part of her body is to be removed and why and what effect will it have on her body after the surgery. With inadequacy in knowledge regarding the causes and consequences of hysterectomy, women in Kashmir experience post-operative complications which advocates the need for well-organized training program on improving the information scores. This study intended to evaluate the usefulness of an organized training program on information among postoperatıve women on self-care in a selected maternity hospital in Kashmir. Methodology: Through a quantitative methodology with a pretest-posttest control group design on a non-probabilistic convenient sample of 50 (fifty) women the problem was addressed.
