Role of homoeopathic specific medicines in sport related injuries

International Journal of Homoeopathic Sciences · 2021 · Vol. 5(1) · pp. 197–200

Abstract

Sports injuries are important adverse effects of sports participation and should be monitored in sports populations. Sports-related injuries are known to be an important barrier to continued physical activity. This review comprises the literature pertaining to the approach of Homoeopathy in managing sport related injuries and the indicated medicines in Homoeopathy for the management of sport related injuries. Hahnemann gave clear instructions in the management of such cases in Organon of Medicine. Various Homoeopathic therapeutic books and repertories suggest specific medicines for different injuries related to different parts of the body. The effect of medicines are clinically proven but there is no sufficient quantity of prospective observational studies and randomized controlled trials using specific homoeopathic medicines. So further research is warranted to strongly support the effectiveness of homoeopathic treatment of sport injuries.
