Abstract
The chromatographic separation of the dichloromethane extract of Pleurotus ostreatus, fatty acid derivatives like trans-4-acetoxy-5-hydroxy-5-pentadecanoyl-2-cyclopenten-1-one and trans-4-acetoxy-5-hydroxy-5-(1-acetoxypentadecyl)-2-cyclopenten-1-one were isolated. The structures of these compounds have been determined by 1H, 13C, DEPT-135 NMR and GC-MS spectral data.
