Placement of Sun in Lord Sri Rama’s birth chart. But where?

Abstract

Sage Valmiki in Ramayana mentioned that, Lord Rama was born in the month of Chaitra, and on the ninth day of that Chaitra month. In this article, we have analysed Sage Valmiki’s Ramayana Bala Kanda slokas, last 10 years of historical data of Chaitra month for calculating angular durations of Tithi’s between start of Padyami till end of Asthami to precisely find Sun’s position with respect to Moon. After detailed calculations based on Tithi, Sage Valmiki’s slokas, and motion of Moon, we concluded that the position of Sun must be within 7.3° of Aries.
