Management of adhd-related behaviours in children using homoeopathic medicines selected based on prenatal maternal mental state
Abstract
ADHD is the most common childhood neurodevelopmental illness that significantly impacts individuals, families, and society. This study was intended to assess the effectiveness of Homoeopathic medicines selected based on the maternal prenatal mental state in managing ADHD-related behaviours in offspring and to analyse maternal prenatal mental states contributing to ADHD pathogenesis.15 children having ADHD-related behaviours were identified symptomatically and diagnosed by the Vanderbilt ADHD Diagnostic Parent Rating Scale & Strengths and Difficulties Questionnaire (SDQ) from OPDs of SKHMC, Kulasekharam. Prenatal maternal psychological state and adverse events were recorded by giving a questionnaire to mothers of ADHD children. The homoeopathic medicinal intervention was made considering the maternal prenatal mental state as a causative modality.
