Abstract

The complete larval development of Stilbognathus cervicornis (Herbst, 1803) from hatching to the megalopa stage was obtained by culture in the laboratory. Two zoeal and one megalopa stages are described and figured. Morphological characters of zoea larvae of Stilbognathus cervicornis of the subfamily Tychinae are compared with those of Epialtinae and Pisinae.
