Abstract

Platin im Blick: Die theoretische Beschreibung elektrokatalytischer Phänomene ist eine große Herausforderung. Ein einfaches Modell auf der Grundlage der Dichtefunktionaltheorie liefert nun eine halbquantitative Beschreibung der Kinetik der elektrokatalytischen Sauerstoffreduktion an einer Reihe binärer Platinlegierungen (Pt3M, siehe Diagramm).
