Abstract
Introduction: Pulpotomy is a treatment procedure that can be performed on healthy root pulp tissue with healing potential after surgical amputation of the infected or affected coronal pulp. Objective: To gather more recent information on the materials that can be used to perform pulpotomy treatments, such as formocresol, biodentine, mineral trioxide aggregate (MTA) and Aloe vera. Methodology: Articles found at PubMed, SCOPUS and Google scholar were analyzed, with an emphasis on the last 5 years. Articles were evaluated with the PRISMA and AMSTAR guidelines.
