Abstract

Given that geopolitical changes are characterized by the decline of the West and the economic prosperity of the East, the Democratic Republic of Congo must adjust its foreign policy implementation tools. In the global and transnational international situation, diplomats' skills are not enough to benefit from economic diplomacy. In addition to traditional diplomatic missions, countries now rely on enterprises as influential participants in their economic diplomacy. Because in the contemporary society, power depends more and more on the mastery of economic ability. China's success is first and foremost economic, not military. The belt and road initiative is obviously the most important geopolitical and geostrategic project in history. So why did the Democratic Republic of Congo choose it? What should be the strategy after signing the MoU? This paper attempts to answer these questions.
