Abstract

Juvenile idiopathic arthritis (JIA), is the most common rheumatic disease that affects children and is a significant cause of both short and long term disabilities. Specifically, JIA is defined as arthritis of unknown etiology and its diagnosis requires clinical exclusion of other known conditions. Excessive delay in instituting advance treatment for JIA results in irretrievable damage to joints and other organs and impair skeletal maturation.
