Synthesis and characterization of pyrimidine bearing 1, 3, 4-oxadiazole derivatives and their potential antifungal action

International Journal of Chemical Studies · 2013 · Vol. 1(4) · pp. 32–39

Abstract

A series of pyrimidine bearing 1, 3, 4-oxadiazole derivatives have been synthesized and evaluated for antifungal activity. All the structures of the newly synthesized compounds have been supported by IR, 1H-NMR, 13C-NMR, GC-MS and CHN analysis.  Most of the compounds have shown promising antifungal activity when compared with the standard drug amphotericin-B.
