Analysis of boldness and competition approach among South Zone Inter-University male kabaddi players

Abstract

The present study was to analysis the personality traits such as boldness and competition approach among male inter university kabaddi players. to achieve this purpose, ninety six (N=96) male kabaddi players who had participated in the South Zone Inter-University Kabaddi tournament during the year 2018-19 which was held at S.R.M. University, Kattankulathur, Chennai, were selected. Multi – dimensional Assessment of Personality series (MAP series 1993) is to assessed the personality traits such as boldness and competition approach. The age of the kabaddi players were ranged between 18 and 25.. The experimental design for the study was static group comparison design. One-way Analysis of variance (ANOVA) was used to find out the difference among the players of different universities on selected personality traits. As obtained F-ratio was significant, the Scheffe's test was used as a post-hoc test to find out the significant difference between each cell. In all the cases, 0.05 level of significance was used to test the hypothesis.
