Crop yield performance and nutrient status in soybean: Wheat cropping system under integrated nutrient management practices in Vertisols of India
Abstract
A field experiment was conducted on the Research Farm of Department of Soil Science and Agricultural Chemistry, Jawaharlal Nehru Agriculture University, Jabalpur during 2015-16 under Long term fertilizer experiment to evaluate the impact of integrated application of inorganic fertilizer and farmyard manure on pattern of nutrient uptake and productivity of soybean. The present investigation is a part of All India Coordinated Research Project (AICRP) ongoing Long-term fertilizer experiment. The experiment was commenced in June 1972 and is continuing till date. The highest yield, content and uptake of N, P, K, harvest index, nitrogen harvest index was associated with integrated application of fertilizer along with organic manure (100% NPK + FYM). The highest P: S and optimal N:S was obtained under 100% NPK and 100% NPK + FYM. On the contrary, the lowest value of yield, content and uptake of N, P, K, harvest index, nitrogen harvest index was found in imbalance application of fertilizers.
