Socio-economic history of Jammu and Kashmir from 1925-1948 with special reference to Maharaja Hari Singh

Abstract

The state of Jammu and Kashmir is known as the crown of India. The state of Jammu and Kashmir has been ruled by many dynasties and each one has tried to develop the socio economic status of people of Jammu and Kashmir. But Dogra period of rule is seen as the golden period of development in for the state of Jammu and Kashmir. So the main objectives of the present study are as follows; 1. To study the social aspects of Jammu and Kashmir during the Maharaha Hari Singhs rule 2. To study the economic aspects of Jammu and Kashmir during the Maharaha Hari Singhs rule. 3. To study the overall harmonious development of Jammu and Kashmir during 1925-1948 4. To study the effects on socio economic development post Maharaja Hari Singhs Rule.
