A brief description of wavelet and wavelet transforms and their applications
International Journal of Statistics and Applied Mathematics · 2018 · Vol. 3(1) · pp. 266–271
Abstract
In this paper we highlight the relevant definitions of wavelet, wavelet transform, parseval formula for the wavelet transform, inversion formula, admissibility condition of wavelets, some examples of wavelets, basic properties of continuous wavelet transforms, applications of wavelet transforms. By using Fourier transform we expressed continuous wavelet transform (W ∅ h) (b, a) in the form (W∅ + h)(b, a) and (W∅ - h) (b, a).
