Transfusion transmissible infectious agents such as Human Immunodeficiency Virus (HIV), Hepatitis B Virus (HBV), Hepatitis C Virus (HCV) and Syphilis are among the greatest threats to blood safety for the recipient. In this study donors who donated blood at blood bank during three years period were retrospectively evaluated with respect to HBs Ag, Anti-HCV, Anti-HIV and Syphilis Seroprevaleance, of the total 20958 blood donors 622 had serological evidence of infection. HBs Ag positive was found in 2.78%, Anti-HCV in 0.01%, Anti-HIV in 0.16% and VDRL in 0.01% of overall donors.
