Diversity of natural & artificial regenerated tree species of semi-arid region at Agra
Abstract
The Present study is an attempt to explore the natural and artificial plant species of semi-arid area at Agra (U.P.) The study site includes Taj Nature Walk, Shajahan Garden, Paliwal Park, Company Garden and Mau Forest in Agra. The region is also characterized now with settlements of human being of different culture from different places. (According to the Habitat Wise). During the study period it was found the maximum percentage of artificial regeneration was 30% (Protected Area) and maximum percentage of natural regeneration was 25.25% (Protected Area). Minimum percentage of artificial regeneration was 22% area under agricultural land and minimum percentage of natural regeneration was 24.25% area under road side plantation.
