Different application methods of nutrients and plant growth regulators enhances the growth and yield of banana cv. Grand Naine

Abstract

An investigation was carried out in banana cv. Grand Naine with aiming to improve the growth and yield characters. The present investigation consists of foliar application and bunch feeding of nutrients (Banana special 0.5%, KH2PO4 0.5% and SOP 2%) and plant growth regulators (GA3 50 ppm and Brassinosteroids 2 ppm) and their combinations. The foliar application of SOP 2% and BR 2 ppm significantly increased the pseudostem girth, number of leaves, leaf length, leaf area, leaf area index, bunch weight and yield per hectare.
