Impact of integrated nutrient management on nutrient uptake of mustard crop
Abstract
A field experiment was carried out at college farm of Udai Pratap College, Varanasi, Uttar Pradesh during 2015-16 to Impact of Integrated Nutrient Management on yield and productivity of Mustered Crop with seven treatment i.e. T1 (Control), T2 (50% NPKS), T3 (50% NPKS+10 t Vermicompost/ha), T4 (100 % NPKS), T5 (100% NPKS+10 t Vermicompost /ha), T6 (150 % NPKS) and T7 (200% NPKS). Application of K through chemical fertilizer plus FYM -N significantly improved the organic carbon, available N, P, K and S contents over chemical fertilizer alone. Application of K through inorganic source with FYM significantly increased to total porosity and reduced the bulk density at all level of fertilizer. The use of organic manure decreased soil pH and EC as compared to chemical fertilizer alone. Significantly higher plant nitrogen, phosphorus, potassium and total NPKS uptake (210, 16.03, 190, 11 Kg/ha-1, respectively) with the application of K + FYM. Thus integrated application of inorganic and organic source (K + FYM) maximized yield of mustered and improved the soil fertility.
