International Journal of Chemical Studies · 2018 · Vol. 6(5) · pp. 3198–3201

Abstract

Present investigation was carried out on the field screening of ridge gourd cultivars against fruit flies (Diptera: Tepheritidae) during kharif season of 2017 at Central Experimental Station, Wakawali, Dist. Ratnagiri. Fifteen ridge gourd cultivars were screened against fruit flies. There was none of cultivar found to be resistance against fruit flies. During fruiting stage the highest (43.24 ± 10.78) mean percent infestation fruit flies was recorded in cultivar Konkan Harita followed KRG-5 (31.76%) and Pusa Nasdar (31.48%). The minimum (0.79 ± 10.78) mean percent infestation of fruit flies was observed in cultivar JRGL-13.
