Journal of Pharmacognosy and Phytochemistry · 2019 · Vol. 8(1) · pp. 942–946

Abstract

The present investigation on Guava (Psidium guajava L.) cv. G-27 was conducted during the year 2013-14 and 2014-15. Foliar spray of zinc, boron and magnesium was done as Zn1 = Zinc sulphat @ 0.25%; Zn2 = Zinc sulphat @ 0.50%; Zn3 = Zinc sulphat @ 0.75%; Bo1 = Boric acid @ 0.1%; Bo2 = Boric acid @ 0.2%; Bo3 = Boric acid @ 0.3%; Mg1= Magnesium sulphat @ 0.20%; Mg2 = Magnesium sulphat @ 0.40%; Mg3 = Magnesium sulphat @ 0.60%. The result showed that Zn3 recorded On the basis of results obtained in present investigation. It was found that foliar spray of zinc, boron and magnesium had significantly improved the various yield attributing parameters of guava. From the different concentration Zn3, B3 and Mg3 recorded yield of 75.04 kg plant-1, 71.94 kg plant-1 and 74.9 kg plant-1, respectively against 46.75 kg plant-1 in control. Diameter of fruit, 7.07 cm, 6.85 cm and 7.07 cm in Zn3, B3 and Mg3, respectively against 5.83 cm in control and maximum no. of fruit plant-1 of 682.05, 648.82 and 681.53 in Zn3, B3 and Mg3, respectively against 458.48 in control. These results are on pooled basis of 2013-14 and 2014-15.
