Abstract
The chemical investigations of the roots of Morinda morindoides led to the isolation of a new ketosteroid 20(R) 24(R) 2β-hydroxy-ethylcholest-4-en-3-one. The structure was elucidated through the spectral studies including UV, MS, 1D-NMR (1H and 13C NMR) and 2D-NMR (HSQC, HMBC, COSY, NOESY) experiments.
