Journal of Pharmacognosy and Phytochemistry · 2019 · Vol. 8 · pp. 982–985

Abstract

The study was carried out in the department of plant pathology, Anbil Dharmalingam Agricultural College e and Research Institute. We have taken oyster mushroom with various climatic conditions of different month intervals. We chose the month of January to May for getting yield variation. Life cycle of oyster mushroom is 45 to 55 days. It will get 3 to 4 harvest per crop. Single bed of mushroom has got 1 to 1.5 kg of yield. The crop of Oyster mushroom was harvested in four flushes. The maximum yield was recorded in crop 2 of about 25936gm (25.94 kg).The crop 4 had showed reduced yield of about 21145gm (21.15 kg). Hence the study revealed that temperature and humidity play a major role for getting higher yield. Normally oyster mushroom will grow during the month of September to February during samba season. This recommended month we will get more yield when compare to other months.
