Abstract

Tongue is muscular organ of the body located in floor of mouth. It is usually a contributing factor for retention and stabiliy of mandibular complete dentures. Therefore while fabricating a complete denture, it is important to understand the anatomy, size, position and classification of the tongue and surrounding musculature in order to achieve proper retention and stability of the complete denture.
