Abstract

The experiment was conducted during 2014-16 at Vegetable Research Station of Sri Konda Laxman Telangana State Horticultural University at Hyderabad falls under the Southern Telangana zone, India. The treatment comprises thirty F1 hybrids along with eleven parents (five lines and six testers) and three commercial checks i.e. US-440, Arka Rakshak and NS-516. The experimental material was evaluated in Randomized Block Design with three replications under three diverse times. Nineteen observations were recorded relating to yield and quality traits. Estimates of SCA variance were higher than GCA variance with the ratio of GCA variance to SCA variance (σ2gca/σ2sca) lower than unity (
