Abstract
Introduction: Intertrochanteric fracture is one of the most common factures in elderly and is a major reason for decreased quality of life and increased mortality. Functional outcome following treatment of intertrochanteric fractures with osteosynthesis is not always satisfactory especially in unstable fractures.
