Abstract

Conventionally X-ray techniques have been used to diagnose ligament injuries [6, 8, 9]. Magnetic resonance imaging has opened new horizons in the diagnosis and treatment of many musculoskeletal diseases of the ankle and foot. It demonstrates abnormalities in the bones and soft tissues before they become evident at other imaging modalities, but it is expensive and time consuming. But this is still not available in the current scenario. That’s why this study is an attempt to find out the effectiveness of X-rays in diagnosing the ligamental tears.
