Phytochemical Investigation Of The Tender Shoot Of Bambusa Bamboos (Linn.) Voss

Abstract

Phytochemical investigation of the ethyl alcohol extract of the tender shoot of Bambusa bamboos (Linn.) Voss yielded p-hydroxybenzaldehyde, p-hydroxybenzoic acid, p-hydroxyphenylacetic acid, I²-sitosterol and I²-sitosterol-I²-D-glucopyranoside. All the compounds are reported for the first time from the tender shoot of Bambusa bamboos.
