A study of short term outcome of total knee arthroplasty in the treatment of primary osteoarthritis of knee joint using knee society score
Abstract
Objective: This study focuses on short term outcome of total knee arthroplasty in the treatment of primary osteoarthritis of knee joint using knee society score. Introduction: Total knee replacement is highly efficacious operation to substitute for kinematic and dynamic function of human knee against advanced arthritis. Modern total knee arthroplasty is effective and durable in the younger, more active patient, as well as in the elderly population. Methodology: A cohort of 40 patients with primary osteoarthritis of knee joint, treated with total knee arthroplasty between Jan 2016 to Dec 2017 were analyzed for minimum of 6 months and final results were analyzed using Knee Society Score.Results: 95% patients had excellent and 5% patients had good results. Assessment done using Knee Society Score.
