Abstract

This paper, using the Dark Energy Survey (DES) year 1 data, together with external data, seeks to constrain several extensions to LCDM models, that include adding extra relativistic degrees of freedom, curvature, a time dependent dark energy equation of state and modified gravity. The conclusion is that only the constraints on the parameters of modified gravity benefit significantly from including the DES year 1 data, making these consistent with predictions from general relativity.
