Amelioration of aged tomato seeds through nano sized organic particles

Journal of Pharmacognosy and Phytochemistry · 2018 · Vol. 7(1) · pp. 402–406

Abstract

An investigation was carried out to study the physiological and biochemical changes during accelerated ageing and the effect of near nano size organic invigouration treatment on aged seeds of tomato. Treatments included were; two different particle size (normal and near nano) of three different organic powder (Annona leaf, Trigonella seed and Curcuma rhizome) solutions with different concentrations (0.10, 0.25, 0.5 and 1%) and soaking durations of 6 and 12 h were investigated against accelerated aged tomato seeds. Results revealed that seeds invigourated for 12h with 0.25 per cent near nano size Trigonella seed powder solution in double the volume of seed to solution ratio was performed better in all estimated parameters
