Effect of INM and plant geometry on nitrogen uptake, Phonological parameters and economic feasibility of treatments of rice (Oryza sativa L.) varieties under SRI technique
Abstract
The present investigation was conducted with the objective to know the effect of integrated nutrient management and plant geometry on growth and yield attributes of rice varieties. The study comprised six treatments of integrated nutrient management (F0: Control, F1: RDF (120:60:60) F2: 50% RDF + 50% Vermicompost, F3: 75% RDF + 25% N through Vermicompost, F4: 50% RDF + 50% N through FYM F5: 75% RDF + 25% N through FYM) with two varieties namely NDR-359 and Sarju 52 and two plant geometry (a) S1: 20 cm X 20 cm. (b) S2: 30 cm X 30 cm. The study revealed that the maximum nitrogen uptake by crop rescorded in F2 (50% RDF + 50% N through vermicompost). Maximum days taken to 50% heading and maturity was recorded with the application of F2 (50% RDF + 50% N through vermicompost). It was at par with F4 (50% RDF + 50% N through FYM). Economic study revealed that the maximum gross return (Rs. 91948.90 ha-1, 92935.14 ha-1) during I and II year, respectively and B:C ratio was noticed with rice variety NDR-359 and F2 (50% RDF + 50% N through vermicompost) under plant geometry S1 (20 cm x 20 cm) against minimum gross return of Rs. 37404.00 ha-1, 37873.13 ha-1 during I and II years, respectively was recorded with Sarju-52 and plant geometry (30 cm x 30 cm) in control integrated nutrient management treatment during both the years under SRI technique.
