Abstract
Vitex negundo is commonly known as nirgundi belonging to family Verbanaceae and is found throughout India. Ithas been traditionally reported for the treatment of depression, malaria, venereal diseases, asthma, wounds, skin diseases, anti-inflammatory, analgesic, ulcers and snake bite.
