Information research: South African journal of library and information science (2005-2015): A bibliometric study

Abstract

This paper deals with the analysis of the 179 contributions of the journal entitled “South African Journal of Library and Information Science” published during 2005-2015. It examines year wise, authorship pattern, citation analysis, length of the contributions etc. The study shows that most of the contributions of this journal are contributed by double author 80(44.69%) and geographical distribution shows that most of the contributions are contributed from South Africa Citation analysis of 6274 citations, types of publications cited and preparing of ranked list of cited journals in contributions of this journal.
