Abstract
Fumaria vaillantii L. syn Fumaria indica belongs to the family of Fumariaceae (fumitory). Its local name is ‘Parpata’ or ‘Pitpapra’ or ‘Parpatakam. It is found in India, Pakistan, Afghanistan, Central Asia, North Dakota and Colorado. Fumariaplants have been traditionally used against various diseases. In the present study, a review has been done on Fumaria vaillantiiLoisel. extensively for treating a variety of ailments in various system of indigenous medicine.
