Gastroprotective Effect of the Aerial Parts of Tribulusterrestris L. against Indomethacin-Induced Gastric Ulceration in Rats

Abstract
The gastroprotective effect of the different fractions of Tribulus terrestris L. was investigated in the indomethacininduced gastric ulcer in rats at dose of 30 mg/kg body weight. The petroleum ether and aqueous fractions had a significant gastroprotective activity, while the chloroform and ethyl acetate fractions had a moderate gastroprotective activity.
