Prostate volume in testosterone‐treated and untreated hypogonadal men in comparison to age‐matched normal controls

Clinical Endocrinology · 1994 · Vol. 40(3) · pp. 341–349

Abstract

Effective testosterone treatment of hypogonadal men results in prostate volume and prostate-specific antigen levels comparable to age-matched normal men. Therefore, testosterone-induced prostate growth should not preclude hypogonadal men from testosterone substitution therapy.
