Abstract

Abstract A general theory has been presented to discussed spectra of transition metal complexes and to apply them to the problem of shifting and spliting of the absorption band of the cobalt (III) complex due to replacement of some of the ligends. The problem was discussed from the molecularorbital and the electrosttaic point of view.
