Multiple Trait Evaluation Using Relatives' Records

Abstract
Methods have been derived for best linear unbiased prediction of breeding values for multiple traits utilizing records on large numbers of relatives as well as the individual's own records. The method is based upon an extension of Henderson's method for efficient utilization of relatives' records in single trait evaluation. Examples of the method are given for three traits in beef cattle.
